What to expect:
We realize that checking out a new church for the first time can be really intimidating. Questions like: How do they do things? Where do I go? What’s for my kids? What should I wear?, float through our heads. Often not knowing the answers to these questions can prevent us from even trying a new church. We don’t want these questions to hinder you from giving Grace Fellowship a try!
Here are a few questions you might be asking yourself:
What should I wear?– We’re pretty relaxed, so wear whatever is comfortable to you. Our pastor will usually wear jeans and a t-shirt with some flip flops, so don’t worry about being too “under-dressed.”
What’s the music like?– Our music is pretty contemporary. You’ll probably hear some familiar songs played on the local Christian radio station, some old hymns that have been “modernized”, and some songs you probably haven’t heard before. For a little more info, check out the “Music” tab under the “I’m New” section above.
What does the Sunday morning gathering look like?– We have something we like to call the “chat room” from 9:45-10:15 every Sunday morning. This is a time for you to grab some coffee and get to know some other people at Grace Fellowship. Then at 10:15, we’ll gather together in the auditorium, we’ll sing together, pray, and hear a message from the Bible. After everything is done, people will usually hang around for a bit and chat, encourage one another, and just have a good time. Our gathering is usually done around 11:30am.
What’s for my kids on Sunday morning?– At 10:15 we have everyone, adults, children, and teens gather in the auditorium. We’ll worship through song together for about 20 minutes and then the kids (PreK-3rd Grade) are dismissed to go downstairs for Children’s Church. Children’s Church takes place during the adult gathering upstairs. Here, kids are taught an age-appropriate lesson, interact with one another, play games, and learn valuable lessons from Scripture taught by one of our many awesome teachers. Once the adult gathering is done you can come downstairs and pick up your child from Children’s Church. (A nursery is provided during the worship gathering for infants-3 years old.)
Hopefully that helps answer some of your questions. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us! We’ll be sure to get back to you as soon as we can. We look forward to meeting you!
